It is beautiful, but somewhat wild and windy. But for a week or two in the summer it is gorgeous! Flamborough has moods: wild and windy, dreary, foggy (often in the summer), but then spectacular. Never boring. Standing on the cliffs in windy sunshine is exhilarating!

I'm so glad you're posting these photos. I have old postcards that show many of these same places but I often wondered if they still existed and what they looked like today. Now I know!

You KNOW Flamborough is MY favorite place, also -- and I can't wait to see it again!

Wendy gets a little tired of hearing about it, and said the other day, "Why are you always talking about your childhood?" I guess she feels it's a sign of old age! Well, some people dwell on the negatives of their past -- I prefer to dwell on the positives -- and Flamborough is definitely one of them!
